How Nutritious Are Ready-Made Products
Some ready-made products are not necessarily more nutritious than freshly prepared ones. However, even shock-frozen vegetables (including those with cream sauce) count as ready-made products and are definitely more nutritious than if you prepare them yourself. According to research, shock-frozen vegetables contain many vitamins that can be quickly lost in fresh vegetables. This can happen simply through storage in the store and naturally also during preparation.
Ready-Made Products and Their Prices
Those who opt for ready-made products can often get these goods at a good price. So, a pizza from no-name companies can be cheaper than if you were to prepare it yourself for just one person. The same usually applies to canned or packet soups. Generally, all ready-made products are actually worth the cost for singles in terms of price. For large families, however, ready-made products would be more expensive and fresh preparation would at least pay off from a cost perspective.
Advantages of Ready-Made Products
Ready-made products are mainly bought by people who are either single, cannot cook, or have little time. Especially when one works all day, they do not necessarily want to stand in front of the stove in the evening. It is easier then to prepare a ready-made pizza, put a complete ready-made product in the microwave, or eat a packet soup. Often, many workplaces even offer the possibility to use a microwave. If you take a ready-made product for the device with you, it can be cheaper than eating at the cafeteria or having a meal at the restaurant across the street. Ready-made products are also sometimes used in large families, especially when one has a day full of appointments ahead. It is significantly easier to prepare a ready-made product than to cook something quick for the whole family.
